Homemade butter with the thermomix – English version

The other day I wanted to make a dessert and I realized that I had no butter, it was Thursday afternoon and the delicatessen near my house was closed. Then I remembered that in the Thermomix basic book there is the recipe for making homemade butter. It only takes two ingredients, luckily I had it and that’s it!

Ingredients Homemade butter with thermomix:

250 ml of fresh cream

50 ml of cold water

Homemade butter with thermomix procedure:

Put the butterfly in the mixing bowl, add the cream and let it go for 4 minutes at speed 4.

In the meantime, put a bowl in the refrigerator with cold water.

After the 4 minutes, add the cold water and keep going for another minute at speed 4.

Then take the dough (it is quite soft) give it the shape of loaves (I have made three) and leave them in the fridge in the bowl of cold water for at least an hour.

If you like salted butter, add a little salt, if you want the last flavored one, add the herbs you like.

Personally, I use it for breakfast, it remains nice soft, both on rusks and with toasted bread and a veil of jam.
