Pulire i pomodori, togliere i semi e tritarli.

Versare i pomodori tritati.

Buon appetito, Angela.

Bolognese cooked in the slow cooker – english version

With this ragù I prepared a fantastic lasagna! How to use the slow cooker you can find it here, obviously if you don’t own this pot you can prepare this recipe in your pot.

Bolognese ingredients cooked in the slow cooker:

– 3 kg of ripe tomatoes – 200 g of smoked bacon cut into thin slices – 1 kg of ground beef – 3 carrots – 3 chopped onions – 2 teaspoons of thyme flowers – 3 bay leaves – 1 celery stalk – 2 spoons of tomato paste – 5 cloves of crushed garlic – 100 ml of olive oil – 500 ml of chicken broth – salt and pepper to taste

Bolognese process cooked in the slow cooker:

Wash and clean the vegetables. Cut the carrots, celery and bacon into small cubes. Clean the tomatoes, remove the seeds and chop them. Lightly brown the bacon in a pan with olive oil and set it aside in the slow cooker pan.

Lightly fry the meat in the same pan used for the bacon (this procedure I skip because I don’t want to dirty two pots but I mark it for completeness of information), season and pour it into the slow cooker pot. Add the onion, garlic and other vegetables. Pour the chopped tomatoes. Add the chicken broth, tomato paste, bay leaf and thyme, salt / pepper. Put the pan in the «HIGH» temperature slow cooker and cook for 6 hours (but always check, for example, with the sauce already cooked, 4 may be enough).

Enjoy your meal, Angela.
